Leica Geosystems presents the world’s first quadruple constellation GNSS Choke Ring Antenna; including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and Compass
With the Leica AR25, Leica Geosystems introduces the next generation of high performance choke ring antenna, covering all present and currently planned GNSS constellations and signals, including L-Band (SBAS, CDGPS and OmniStar).
With emerging new satellite systems planned by the European Union (Galileo) and China(Compass/Beidou-2) GNSS networks and reference stations need to be ready to track these new upcoming signals.
High Performance and Future Proof Choke ring antennas are recognized as having the best accuracy and tracking performance compared to all other antenna types. They are widely used in infrastructure networks and reference stations today. The new Leica AR25 uses an innovative new 3D Conic choke ring design, which extends the benefits of the original 2D design in areas such as multipath rejection and signal to noise ratio, whilst at the same time improving tracking of low elevation satellites.
Leica Geosystems recognizes the challenges faced by operators of GNSS networks and reference station. The new Leica AR25 meets the requirement for a long lasting and reliable antenna that has superior tracking performance and is ready for emerging signals and systems.

Each month we select a hot topic and a leading figure in the industry to write about it.HAVE WE REALLY LEARNT THE LESSONS FROM LAST YEAR’S FLOODS?
Flooding costs associated with extreme weather, both financial and emotional, have increased considerably over the last decade, and experts have predicted this trend is set to continue.
Paul Livett, Chairman of GroundSure looks into how increasing the use of flood risk information in property transactions can help to ensure both residential and commercial transactions are conducted on a truly informed basis, with buyers being made aware of environmental risks prior to purchase.
Over 2.2 million homes and small businesses in the UK are located in areas considered at risk of flooding, and the Association of British Insurers (ABI) has said that 570,000 of these face a high risk of flooding. The floods in June and July last year left approximately 48,000 households… More…
