Leading-Edge Workshops on Mapping....

Leading-Edge Workshops on Mapping for a Sustainable Future

Attend intuitive practical workshops in carbon mapping, flood mapping and 3D mapping

Training4GIS™, the training and consultancy division of GeoInformation® Group, is hosting a series of workshops designed to serve local authorities, the business community and those with an interest in creating a sustainable environment.

Mapping for a Sustainable Future is a comprehensive set of one day, practical workshops focused on how mapping can successfully be applied within sustainable planning and development. Taking place this autumn in Central London and Central Birmingham, Training4GIS is offering three separate workshops to choose from: Carbon Mapping, 3D Mapping and Flood Mapping.

With a wide-ranging programme on offer, each workshop provides a unique learning platform for delegates to explore sustainable innovation, examine practical case studies and discover all-important timesaving tips on how mapping can help meet sustainable targets. By learning from key researchers, practitioners and policy makers within the field as well as networking with those within business, academia and government, delegates can be assured of returning to their workplace with fresh and exciting inspiration.

The events are ideal for anyone concerned with creating a sustainable future including; energy consultants, conservation officers, environmental planners, engineers, property developers, architects, surveyors and planning officers.

Whether its discovering how to plan and monitor an emission reduction campaign in the Carbon Mapping workshop, modelling the impact of flood data on surrounding properties in the Flood Mapping workshop or integrating data to create realistic 3D models in the 3D Mapping workshop, each short course provides an unparalleled hands-on learning experience.

Leading-edge speakers have been carefully selected and brought together to provide an awe-inspiring programme series and include; National Energy Foundation, Communities and Local Government, Ambiental, British Geological Survey, Intermap Technologies, The GeoInformation Group and Oxford Institute for Sustainable Development.

Workshop dates are scheduled as follows:

Carbon Mapping:
Birmingham: 6 October
London: 3 November

3D Mapping:
Birmingham: 21 October
London: 5 November

Flood Mapping:
London: 20 October
Birmingham: 26 November

Workshops are attractively priced at £145 (plus VAT) when booking the early bird discount. Delegates are advised to book early, as places are strictly limited.
