LANDMARK ENVIRONMENT LAUNCHES ENVIROCHECK EXPORT

Landmark Environment has launched a new innovative online tool for master planners, Envirocheck Export.

The new service will benefit planning, transport consultants and GIS Professionals working on large, long-term projects such as rail links and airport developments, and has been developed in response to industry demand for GIS information that can be filtered by professionals themselves.

It will provide GIS and CAD -ready data and mapping essential to master-planning, landscape design and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA’s), and give professionals the flexibility they need to export GIS and CAD-ready data straight into their own modelling tools or planning programmes.

Envirocheck Export is the first product of its kind to make available greenbelt data licensed for commercial use. This data is obtained from local authorities, which must periodically produce local development plans containing land use and greenbelt constraints data. The information should prove valuable to professionals in the initial stages of large projects, where understanding all the potential constraints is vital in ensuring that the planning process runs smoothly.

In addition to greenbelt data, Envirocheck Export incorporates data from over 600 sources. Constraints segments specific datasets are available digitally, including planning constraints data, such as Listed buildings, Scheduled monuments and Historic Battlefields. Environmental Constraints data includes Parks and Gardens, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (for England and Wales), National Scenic Areas (for Scotland), Special Sites of Scientific Interests, Wetlands of International Importance, Ancient Woodland and Country parks .

David Mole, MD Landmark Environment, comments:
“We have been piloting the tool over the last two months and the feedback we have received from industry professionals has been very positive. The tool provides a highly specialised and advanced service for planning and transport professionals working on large-scale projects and developments, so we are pleased to have been able to demonstrate its enhanced capabilities.”
