Intelligent Addressing Gains ISO 9001:2000 Certification

Intelligent Addressing has gained ISO 9001:2000 certification, a major milestone in the company’s ongoing progress and expansion. This is also a significant achievement for the company which acts as the custodian for two mission critical UK government sponsored national datasets, the NLPG (National Land and Property Gazetteer) and the NSG (National Street Gazetteer).

Intelligent Addressing is an independent company that was originally set up in 1999 to help with the development of the NLPG. The NLPG is a single definitive address database, designed for use by Local Authorities, across all departments and systems, in order to cut costs, improve efficiency and ultimately service delivery. Intelligent Addressing is involved with this vital initiative, which lies at the heart of transformational government, helping to drive the evolution of the underlying BS7666 property and street data standard and leading the crusade to increase uptake and improve quality. The NLPG has matured into an indispensable data set underpinning democracy, local government and the emergency services.
