INNOGISTIC CFRMIS™ FIRE RISK MANAGEMENT COVERAGE NOW EXTENDS TO THE WHOLE SOUTH WEST OF ENGLAND
Dorset Fire and Rescue service has become the latest fire service in the South West of England to install Innogistic’s CFRMIS™ (Community Fire Risk Management Information System). This installation marks the successful culmination of the South West Regional Framework agreement which was won by Innogistic in a competitive tender in August 2006.
Andy Carter, Emergency Services Business Manager at Innogistic, said “we are delighted that we now have full CFRMIS™ coverage of the South West. Our system allows joined-up working and sharing of information between all the brigades within the region and potentially will give them considerable time and cost savings on fire safety and risk management activities across the region.”
In addition to the South West, the contract is open to all other fire and rescue services in Britain and as a result of this, CFRMIS™ has now become the established benchmark fire safety and risk management tool across the UK. In the North of England alone, CFRMIS™ is installed and operational across the whole of the North East Fire and Rescue Region as well as in Cumbria, Lancashire and most of Yorkshire.
Commenting on this fact Andy Carter said “we have well over 50% of the Fire and Rescue services in England using CFRMIS™. Dorset’s neighbour brigade in Hampshire also utilises CFRMIS™ which will continue this spread of joined-up working across the South of England. We are also talking to most of the other remaining brigades to offer them this benefit as well”

Adopting Cloud computing can save money, but good governance is essential to manage the risk argues Mike Small
