NAVTEQ, a leading global provider of digital map data for vehicle navigation and location-based solutions, has officially launched the third edition of its Global LBS Challenge in Europe, building on the success of this now well-established and innovative programme which was initially created in North America in 2003.

There are five categories in which to submit applications:

Entries will be judged by an elite panel representing major wireless carriers, industry experts and venture capitalists – previous judges included senior executives from Nokia, BT, FotoVista, Orange, O2, Sony, Dixons and Lehman Bros.
