Hometrack, the housing intelligence business, announced today that it has acquired SIA Limited, a leading software provider of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Established some 15 years ago, SIA has been providing successful GIS solutions to a wide range of sectors from housing to local government. As David Catt, Hometrack’s COO explains, ‘This acquisition is a perfect fit for Hometrack with real product synergies which are of mutual benefit to both sets of clients. The system comprises a sophisticated mapping model which is capable of graphically highlighting a wide range of market analysis including house prices, local area demand profiling and private sector rents.’
He adds, ‘There is an increasing need for decision makers within the housing and property related sectors to be equipped with the best market intelligence to remain competitive. SIA Limited’s new generation of data-enriched and GIS-enabled products will ensure our clients can view detailed property and land information through the most effective interface.’
Nasser Elaheebocus, Director of SIA commented, ‘The partnership will ensure that clients benefit from increased investment and that our products will remain at the very forefront of innovation.’
SIA Limited, although a part of Hometrack, will operate as a stand alone subsidiary.
