Forth Valley GIS accredited with International Quality Standard ISO9001:2008 for the provision of geographical information services.

Forth Valley GIS is delighted to announce it’s recent certification with the International Quality Management System Standard ISO9001: 2008 for the provision of geographical information services.

In an ambitious timescale of 6 months, establishing the Quality Management System (QMS) has involved a review of all the company’s business processes, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities to provide a systematic approach for the delivery of our services. The QMS enables us to identify, measure, control and improve our core business processes, which will continually enhance levels of customer satisfaction.

Alan Moore, Chief Executive of Forth Valley GIS said “Achieving the ISO9001 standard is an important milestone for the company and demonstrates our commitment to achieving a high standard of quality across all our business operations.”

“ Customers want to be confident that they are doing business with a company that can meet or exceed their expectations in a timely and cost-effective manner. We have always been proud of the services we offer our customers and the way we conduct our business. Now with the award of ISO9001 certification, this has been independently confirmed by experts who judge standards on a daily basis across a wide range of companies and industries. “

“Successfully gaining certification is a clear demonstration of our customer commitment to continuous improvement across all levels of activity in the company.”

Assisted by Glasgow-based Consultancy52, the successful ISO certification was made through BSi Management Systems, an accredited registrar that performs assessments of management systems against requirements of national and international standards for quality.
