FIND discovers new images from Blom Aerofilms

FIND discovers new images from Blom Aerofilms

Victoria Station – 4cm aerial photos of London are amongst the latest Blom imagery featured on FIND

New layers of detailed aerial mapping information are now available to property, planning and environmental professionals in the UK following an agreement between the advanced online mapping tool for businesses, FIND and Blom Aerofilms.

Historic data sets that capture aerial views of London as far back as 1966, along with FIND’s Ultra View, unique, up-to-date and highly detailed 4cm aerial imagery of the capital, are amongst the latest Blom imagery featured on FIND. These images can be viewed alongside a wide range of other planning, environmental and building information already available on FIND.

Data sets of high resolution Blom aerial photography spanning some 125 cities in the UK and Ireland have been added to the FIND site as well as LiDAR imagery, laser scans producing detailed surface and terrain mapping used to support and enhance urban modelling, flood mapping and risk assessments and transport and infrastructure planning. The agreement also makes accessible a range of 2D city models, building polygon datasets which can be used for 3D modelling and cover key cities across 13 European countries.

Working with the UK’s most respected data providers, FIND now brings together the largest instantly accessible map and data source currently available.

FIND’s Development Director, Miriam Crichton, said “Our clients have told us viewing an Ultra View aerial photo from Blom is the next best thing to being on-site.”

The agreement with FIND is the third key strategic partnership arrangement negotiated by Blom this year as the UK’s leading supplier of bespoke aerial imagery and photography aims to make its extensive library of existing imagery available to a broader range of mapping applications and to a wider market. To launch the Ultra View imagery layers, FIND will be running a special promotion in October to promote Ultra View photography.
