Envitia launches MapLink Pro 6

Envitia is launching the next generation of MapLink Pro and introducing the most powerful and flexible version of the tool kit to date. By embracing Open Standards and enhancing interoperability, this release demonstrates Envitia's commitment to the latest technologies, delivering further benefit to our customers by reducing overheads and helping with the delivery of the best solutions in the most cost effective manner.

Featuring over 1200 enhancements, MapLink Pro 6.0 includes exciting new functionality to bring our customers enhanced capabilities while maintaining the high performance and unrivalled disparate data integration of all previous releases. Boosting interoperability, MapLink Pro now provides both Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) compliant WFS client facilities and OGC GML ingest/creation support. With additional comprehensive spatial database integration and our existing accredited OGC WMS, MapLink Pro now offers the building blocks for Spatial Data Infrastructure solutions, soon to include catalogue/registry, feature portrayal, geocoding and gazetteer services.

Creating a 3D Situational Awareness display which mirrors the information available to the user in 2D is increasingly becoming a demand in C4ISR applications. MapLink Pro 6.0 satisfies this requirement with significant performance and functional improvements to our 3D architectures. Multiple 3D drawing surfaces, higher resolution imagery support and exposure to the developer of additional controls all results in enhanced 3D display capability. The drawing of both OpenGL and WMS layers on top of a 3D surface also adds a more dynamic element to the applications.
