ESRI (UK) to host ESRI Europe, Middle East and Africa User Conference 2008
ESRI (UK) is proud to announce that it will be hosting the ESRI Europe, Middle East and Africa User Conference 2008. The Conference will take place from Tuesday 28 to Thursday 30 October 2008 at the QEII Conference Centre, London.
The conference theme is ‘GIS for everyday life’, reflecting ESRI (UK)’s vision for geographic information systems to be an indispensable part of daily life. Richard Waite, Managing Director of ESRI (UK) explains: “GIS is a powerful technology that is not only becoming a mainstream IT tool, but is quietly changing the way people live their everyday lives.”
“ESRI GIS solutions are prevalent across the Public, Private, Education, Health, and Communities sectors and are helping people solve real world problems. The 2008 conference is a must for everyone interested in learning more about how GIS is impacting on everyday life.”
The conference will feature a full day plenary including keynote speakers, technical presentations and updates as well as industry-focused and management sessions. In addition to the main conference, ESRI (UK) will be hosting pre-conference seminars, an exhibition and a map gallery. Delegates will be treated to a conference dinner held in the evening on Wednesday 29 October 2008 at the London Science Museum.
