Dotted Eyes’ instructors first to be certified ...

Dotted Eyes’ instructors are amongst the first to be certified…

In FME!

Two trainers at Midlands-based Dotted Eyes, the leading digital mapping specialists, are celebrating being amongst the first worldwide to be accredited as Certified FME Instructors by Safe Software.
The new accreditation from Safe operates on two levels. At one level is the Certified FME Professional who uses the product, and at another is the Certified FME Instructor who teaches others to use the product. Having achieved two Instructor accreditations, and in keeping with Dotted Eyes’ Investors in People status, Dotted Eyes is now encouraging its other trainers and consultants to achieve Certified FME Professional status.

David Eagle, Professional Services Manager at Dotted Eyes, commented:

“We’re delighted that our level of product knowledge has been formally recognised by Safe. Our FME training courses are already very popular, and this accreditation can only help by reassuring customers that they are trained by the very best. 2006 was a record year of trading at Dotted Eyes. We have recently recruited 6 new members of staff and are close to completing a full website redesign. All in all, it’s been an exciting year for both FME and Dotted Eyes.”

Dotted Eyes has been running FME training courses for 6 years from their custom built training suite in the West Midlands.

This Month's Burning Issue...
Each month we select a hot topic and a leading figure in the industry to write about it.
This month's burning issue:

HAVE WE REALLY LEARNT THE LESSONS FROM LAST YEAR’S FLOODS?

Flooding costs associated with extreme weather, both financial and emotional, have increased considerably over the last decade, and experts have predicted this trend is set to continue.

Paul Livett, Chairman of GroundSure looks into how increasing the use of flood risk information in property transactions can help to ensure both residential and commercial transactions are conducted on a truly informed basis, with buyers being made aware of environmental risks prior to purchase.

Over 2.2 million homes and small businesses in the UK are located in areas considered at risk of flooding, and the Association of British Insurers (ABI) has said that 570,000 of these face a high risk of flooding. The floods in June and July last year left approximately 48,000 households… More…
