DOTTED EYES - Making Free OS OpenData Easy to Use

DOTTED EYES - Making Free OS OpenData Easy to Use

Dotted Eyes, the Midlands-based Ordnance Survey Premier Partner, welcomes today’s launch of free OS OpenData and the simplification of licences which should make it easier to re-use derived data.

Dotted Eyes Managing Director, Ben Allan, comments:

“Our customers have recently been expressing great interest in free data, and we support Ordnance Survey’s move to release certain data sets free of charge to help customers achieve their organisational goals.

We will continue to offer a full range of value-added data products ready to use in spatial systems such as GIS and CAD, just as we have with done previously with our class leading SuperpOSe suite of applications and services.“

Chairman, Jamie Justham, adds:

“We welcome the new OS VectorMap District vector data set, and will provide the same sophisticated styling and translation service for this as we do for the OS VectorMap Local data set (our ScalerMap).

We will maintain our commitment to advising customers on their spatial data needs in the same expert way that has earned us recognition as an OS Premier Partner.”

Dotted Eyes is a leading provider of GIS data, software and services to commercial and public sector organisations, including the NHS.
