DIGICORE COMPLETES MINORPLANET ACQUISITION TO CREATE NEW CTRACK BUSINESS IN THE UK

DigiCore has completed the acquisition of the UK operations of Minorplanet to create the leading vehicle tracking and telemetry organisation within the UK. The Minorplanet business will be combined with DigiCore’s existing UK presence to form an expanded company that will be rebranded as Ctrack with immediate effect.

Tom O’Connor, formerly Managing Director of DigiCore ltd in the UK, will head up the expanded Ctrack business. “This latest development brings together two of the leading vehicle tracking solutions providers in the UK to create an industry leading business. This new Ctrack organisation is best-placed to meet the precise needs of its customers with high levels of expertise, support and financial strength,” he explains.

Ctrack in the UK will combine the strengths of DigiCore’s commercial presence and established position in the corporate market together with Minorplanet’s customer service and software competence in the UK SME market. It will provide the potential to create a significantly larger telematics platform in the UK and across Europe and be well positioned to take advantage of the opportunities that this is likely to bring.
