Stevenage and London, UK. 7 October, 2008 – Digital mapping and geographic information systems (GIS) software developer Cadcorp has announced the launch of a Crime Analysis Toolkit that comprises a range of analytical tools to support crime analysts in their roles.
The Crime Analysis Toolkit has both the ability to create hotspot maps and a dedicated query builder making it easier for analysts to locate and report on high crime areas. Additionally the toolkit includes periodic charting allowing analysts to undertake a range of temporal analysis, as well as routing tools and integration with the i2 iBase product.
Mike O’Neil, managing director, Cadcorp said, “Working with our customers in the police market has allowed Cadcorp to better understand the challenging role of the crime analyst. To support this growing user community we are delighted to release the Cadcorp Crime Analysis Toolkit.”
