COWI mapping UK - New appointment

COWI mapping UK - New appointment

Richard Metcalfe

COWI mapping UK takes on Richard Metcalfe in a newly created role as Sales and Marketing Manager. Due to a growing demand for its specialist services in the acquisition of geographical data COWI has created a new position to build upon these opportunities.

Richard joins COWI following an 18 year career successfully building GI consultancy businesses at Scott Wilson and Atkins and more recently as business development manager at Getmapping for 3D data, oblique and vertical aerial imagery solutions.

Richard comments, "It is a real pleasure to be joining one of Europe's leading consulting companies with a dedicated GI and survey business of more than 500 staff across its international offices. COWI is leading the way in the use of new and innovative technologies that is securing its place in a global market and is rapidly becoming a global influencer itself."

Richard adds,"I have been impressed by the success that COWI mapping UK has achieved through its customer focus and by exceeding expectations in the quality of the services it delivers. My remit is to extend this business to a wider market and to grow the range of niche GI products and services offered in the UK, making use of and contributing to the capabilities provided by the global COWI GI business."
