Delegates have cause to celebrate as Bentley joins Smart Utility 2008
Prospective attendees had a reason to be smiling when they heard that GIS Software providers Bentley were confirmed as sponsors for Smart Utility (8-10 December) last week.
To mark the support of one of the biggest names in the sector, organisers IQPC launched a one week giveaway of half price master class vouchers to all those confirming their attendance during the following week (29th September – 3rd October). The master class is being led by the Energy Services Network Association and will provide a guide to planning and delivering Smart Metering roll outs.
Smart Metering is one of the technologies that will be addressed from many different angles during the event. Technology giants Cisco confirmed their support of the event this week and will be presenting on Smart Metering and Demand Side Management.
The event organisers will be launching a separate promotion to publicise their involvement next week.

Pick it up and together we will mould an alternative OS derived data licensing model that we can propose to government to help encourage geographic innovation especially in the public sector.
I'M A SOFTWARE SUPPLIER SO WHAT DO I CARE?
I’m a software supplier so it shouldn’t affect me too much... but it does. It is hindering business in general. The government has just released its budget and are saying things like more ‘collective buying power’, ‘greater commercialisation of… More…
