BKS Surveys Limited has been awarded a framework agreement under the new OGCbuying.solutions framework for ‘Geographic Information Services and Solutions’ (GISS).
BKS is now one of ten chosen approved suppliers under lot 2 – ‘GI Mapping Services’ and lot 3 – GI Data Services.
‘GI Mapping Services’ will see BKS supplying aerial photography, photogrammetric mapping, orthophotography, rotary and fixed wing LiDAR data, geodetic control and land surveying services as well as terrestrial laser scanning, processing of satellite imagery, 3D city modelling and visualisations, CLEARCONE® remote higher precision highway surveying, hydrographic and bathymetric surveying.
Through this framework, BKS are also able to supply off-the-shelf aerial photography and orthophotography from the GetMapping Millennium Map®.
For the first time, LiDAR data acquired using the FLI-MAP low-level LiDAR system can be procured through the GISS framework. The FLI-MAP system provides highly accurate and ultra high density laser point clouds for use in digital terrain mapping or for the derivation of topographical survey for corridor mapping applications.
GIS data capture and conversion services, including scanning and georeferencing of paper based maps and textual records, capture of spatial polygonal and textual databases for integration to GIS systems, Positional Accuracy Improvement correction will be available under the ‘GI Data Services’ category. Other key services include GIS consultancy including records and data audits, project planning and GIS strategies as well as software development and training.
