Marine GI in a Changing World - Policy, Partnership and Practise
The UK GI industry is facing a period of unprecedented change from the governance, legislative and practitioner perspective. The marine sector is no different. UK and Devolved Administrations are all developing and delivering new legislation which will revolutionise the way UK sea space is governed and managed. GI will be at the heart of this change. INSPIRE and the UK Location Strategy will drive the 'what' and 'how' in terms of the future operational data model. The advent of GYM [Google, Yahoo and Microsoft] has brought location within reach of non experts. This seminar will look at how stakeholders are responding and how they might respond in order to keep pace with such change'. It is a 'must attend' event if you are involved in GI at whatever level and is an excellent opportunity to inform the debate
