AGI GeoCommunity '09 Call for Papers closes 1 week

The AGI GeoCommunity conference is the UK's biggest independent GI conference and is delivered by the nation's dedicated GI membership association. Now well established as a centrally located residential conference, AGI GeoCommunity has become extremely popular. AGI GeoCommunity is ideally structured for a great diversity of activities; plenaries, keynotes, conference papers, workshops, debates, networking, social activities and much more.

As a speaker at the AGI GeoCommunity '09 conference you will have the best possible opportunity to raise the profile of your work, share your ideas, describe your activities and celebrate success and outstanding practice. Sharing, listening, learning and networking with your peers may be the one of the most significant personal development activities you can engage in during the year. Please act now: the deadline for paper ABSTRACT submissions is Friday 1st May 2009.

The structure of the conference will be based around the themes and topics in the link below. A range of topics have been suggested to stimulate your thinking but also feel free to propose alternative topics that respond to the themes and overall focus of the conference 'Realising the Value of Place'. We now invite you to submit abstracts for papers that address these themes at any level, including those that crosscut and interrelate with each other.

The conference committee is looking for papers that demonstrate good knowledge and well argued opinion; cases that address project success, large and small; innovative or unusual approaches and examples of lessons learned and issues overcome. Don't be shy. Your paper could make a real difference to conference delegates!

Visit the AGI website for more information, the paper themes for 2009 and the submission form. www.agi2009.com
