1Spatial enhances functionality of Radius Check

1Spatial is pleased to announce the release of version 2.1 of its Radius Check suite of products. Version 2.1 features enhanced functionality, such as easy to view dashboards and new accessibility features, as well as additional operational capacity that enables users to effectively manage large datasets.

The Radius Check suite encompasses three versions of a user-friendly, Windows-based application that allows easy identification and administration of 2D, 3D and 4D spatial data that are held in Oracle databases. Using “multi-thread” processing, analysis on all sizes of dataset can be executed quickly and efficiently and results viewed through a colour-coded and easy to view interface. The simplicity of the product means that all spatial data users can use it, even those without a significant level of technical expertise. It can also be used as a learning tool for those new to Oracle Spatial Schemas, supporting day-to-day database operations without the need for expensive training or support packages. The multiple versions provide the user with the flexibility to choose the most appropriate level of functionality for their purposes.

1Spatial’s latest release features a range of enhancements* including:
· Visual analysis of a dataset (or database) containing complex geographical boundaries, for example islands
· The ability to support and maintain metadata for 2D, 3D and 4D data
· Improved functionality for users with large datasets via simultaneous multi-thread processing, enabling data queries to run more quickly
· The capacity to name or customise the spatial index that is applied to a table, a particularly useful feature for those with large datasets as users can quickly view the reference they are looking for
· Improved data analysis. Users can now run SQL queries against different data categories including errors, enabling them to produce ‘to do’ lists of different types of errors for amendment by the relevant experts
· Modified accessibility features now give users the capability to change the colours of the user interface, with the choice of three different settings
· New dashboards that show an overview of the ‘health’ of data, presented in easy to view pie charts

Radius Check is suitable for any organisation with a modern Oracle Spatial database and is currently used across a range of sectors by professionals such as GIS Officers/Consultants, Oracle DBAs, Developers, Academics/Professionals, Helpdesk Administrators. *The Radius Check suite of products features three versions, each with different levels of functionality. The new additional functionality found in version 2.1 of the Radius Check suite varies depending on which product the user requires. Products available include:
· Radius Check Lite, a free downloadable version with limited functionality that allows users to evaluate the health of their data;
· Radius Check, an extension of Radius Check Lite that enables users to create, delete and amend as necessary, relevant schema problems, using simple drop down menus within the interface;
· Radius Check Plus, the premium product, featuring all the functionality of Radius Check and more.
