1Spatial becomes VAR for Tele Atlas

1Spatial is pleased to announce the signing of a Value Added Reseller agreement with Tele Atlas, a leading global provider of digital maps and dynamic content for navigation and location-based solutions. This announcement was made at the 1Spatial Conference 2008 where Tele Atlas was a keynote presenter on ‘The Future of the Digital Map’, as well as a Gold Sponsor.

As part of their drive to deliver solutions around geospatial data quality and data integration, 1Spatial can now offer powerful integration and quality services that include MultiNet data, to a broad range of organisations ranging from large corporate enterprises and System Integrators to local and central governments.

1Spatial has extensive experience in providing operational solutions to organisations with large geospatial databases, notably around geospatial data integration and quality control. 1Spatial will now be able to offer end-users a suite of GPS and geospatial solutions based on MultiNet helping them to more rapidly benefit from their location-based applications.

Both companies have already worked together to re-engineer the existing workflow for a large telecommunications company to replace the data from its incumbent digital mapping provider with the latest MultiNet database from Tele Atlas. For any telecommunications company available bandwidth, pricing, quality of service and, therefore, customer satisfaction rely on location intelligence.

Steven Ramage, 1Spatial’s Director of Business Development, said:

“We believe MultiNet has become a de-facto standard in digital mapping; it is the most accurate and intuitive digital map that is currently available. Utility companies, public sector organisations, retail, insurance and finance organisations, amongst a host of others, can now more rapidly create the location intelligent enterprise and begin to reap the rewards. We can help them with their geospatial data integration and quality requirements.”

Jack Reinelt, COO Tele Atlas & Managing Director of Tele Atlas Europe, added:

“We are now better positioned to consistently target the large corporate and government communities across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
We have been working with 1Spatial for several years in the areas of data quality and data control; this agreement further strengthens this partnership and will enable more organisations to integrate solutions based on MultiNet into their location-based applications.”

MANAGING CLIMATIC RISK

Russell Osborne, Managing Director of Citizen Solutions for Northgate Public Services, comments on managing climate risk in the economic downturn.

During tough economic times, bold steps must be taken to ensure the long-term prosperity of the UK’s communities, economy and natural environment. As outlined in the 2008 Pre-Budget Report, the public sector is to act as the vehicle driving growth in the UK economy. We must make sure that… More…
