new CopyStation Multi-Function Solutions

Allied Images, UK and Ireland distributor for Colortrac’s large format scanners, is pleased to announce that following on from the success of the previous CopyStation multi-function devices (MFDs) it is enhancing the range with the latest Canon printers and adding Hewlett Packard printers to the product line. These multi-function devices are for users who need to optimise their scanning, copying and printing operations with cost effective and easy-to-use solutions. The MFDs are based on Colortrac SmartLF scanners allied with Canon imagePROGRAF or Hewlett Packard DesignJet printers. The MFDs are configured with stands that position the scanner above the printer to provide a single compact footprint that makes the best use of office space.

The small full-colour document solution, based on the 1200dpi resolution 28” scan width SmartLF Gx+28c, provides copy-shops, small reprographic houses and graphic designers with an economical system that is ideal for posters, simple graphics and multi-colour documents. Its compact size allied with A1 print width makes the solution ideal for users who require cost-effective full colour output.

The CAD/technical document solution, based on 600dpi resolution 40” scan width SmartLF Ci40c scanner, is ideal for customer who work mainly with CAD and technical documents and whose main requirement is rapid, economical printing of the latest information. The system meets their main demands of speed, accuracy, ease-of-use and on-demand scanning, copying and printing.

The A0+ full colour and graphics solution, based on 1200dpi full-colour gamut SmartLF Gx+42c, is best for customers who are in the full colour environment of advertising graphics, photography, imagery as well as CAD and technical documents. This solution supports documents up to 42” inches wide and up to 0.8” thick providing the highest quality scans. The matching printers use multiple inks (up to 12) to ensure accurate colour reproduction and superb results.

All CopyStation solutions use Colortrac’s CopySmart professional copying software. CopySmart can be colour calibrated (profiled) for any paper and ink combination by the user in minutes using the supplied IT8 target and in-built calibration Wizard. Alternatively, a spectrophotometer, Getrag-Macbeth/X-Rite Eye-1, can be used to profile the media - reading back the printer charts into the computer. This will give the highest quality results for those seeking extremely accurate colour matching such as users with multiple ink colour printers capable of delivering subtle colour shades.
