MARKHAM, ONTARIO, CANADA and MADISON, WI, USA – Feb 24, 2009 – Orion Technology, a Division of Rolta Canada Limited, and GeoAnalytics® is pleased to announce today that they have been chosen to implement Rolta’s enterprise Web-GIS solution OnPoint™ for the Unified Governments of Wyandotte County/Kansas City. This will mark Rolta’s first OnPoint™ client in the state of Kansas.
The Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City is recognized as one of the most progressive local governments in America, and one of the fastest-growing destinations for family fun and excitement in the Midwest. Created in 1997 when Wyandotte County voters overwhelmingly approved consolidating the city and county governments, Wyandotte County is home to Kansas City, Bonner Springs and Edwardsville.
OnPoint ™ will be implemented by GeoAnalytics as Unified Government’s next generation internet and intranet web mapping solution. OnPoint™ provides a web-based, geospatially integrated view of critical information and work processes for the internal and external users at Unified Government. OnPoint™ will replace existing AEGIS web map viewer at Unified Government and include improved functionality along with being compatible with ESRI’s ArcGIS version 9.3. Additionally, Unified Government will utilize Redlining, Pictometry, and Instamap Extensions to OnPoint Enterprise for enhanced data editing, oblique photography viewing, and cartographic mapping capabilities.
