November 16th 2009 - Space Imaging Middle East (SIME), along with European Space Imaging (EUSI) and DigitalGlobe, Inc., are pleased to announce the preview of the WorldView Global Alliance at the Dubai Air Show, November 15-19, 2009. The WorldView Global Alliance brings together the global strength of DigitalGlobe, Inc., with the regional expertise of Space Imaging Middle East and European Space Imaging to provide customers with rapid collection, exceptional product offerings and customer service to meet all their world imagery needs.
"SIME and EUSI continue to lead the Middle East and European geospatial markets, bringing the latest technologies and highest service level. We were the first in both regions to provide direct downlink services for sub-meter resolution satellite imagery" said Mohammed El-Kadi, Managing Director of EUSI and SIME. "Through this Alliance, we will once again be the first in our markets, offering commercial 8-band multispectral products from WorldView-2. We expect to begin priority tasking of DigitalGlobe's WorldView satellites in Europe in the first quarter of 2010, through EUSI's WorldView ground station in Munich. Later this year, we expect to expand our capabilities to offer priority tasking of the WorldView satellites in the Middle East."
Through the Alliance, customers will have access to imagery from the industry-leading DigitalGlobe constellation of satellites, including the recently launched WorldView-2 satellite and DigitalGlobe's leading ImageLibrary, with over 815 million square kilometers of high-resolution imagery. The Alliance will deliver a full suite of online and offline products and services, with high levels of local customer support.
"We are excited about our alliance with SIME and EUSI," said Jill Smith, chairman and CEO, of DigitalGlobe, Inc. "The leadership position and regional expertise of both SIME and EUSI in the world imagery market, combined with our global resources, including our advanced satellite constellation, leading global coverage and geospatial cloud computing infrastructure will provide our customers with new solutions to meet their expanding requirements."
