WideTEK Scanners at INTERGEO

Wuppertal, 9th September 2008. At this year´s INTERGEO, Image Access demonstrates its competence as a specialist for scanning and archiving large format GEO documents.

WT36-USBWith the largest representative of the WideTEK scanner family – the WideTEK 48 – the company is demonstrating concrete solutions for quick and cost efficient scanning and archiving of large format documents. The product range covers scanners for documents up to 36, 42 und 48 inches in width. Thanks to the high scanning speed, the devices show brilliant results in only a few seconds. The WideTEK scanners enable the operator to scan very long documents extremely fast in full color and at a high resolution.

All models are outfitted with the most modern camera technology utilizing CCD systems and scan in true optical resolution of 1200x600 dpi. The WideTEK family of scanners is unique for its extremely fast scanning speed. WideTEK 36, the smaller brother of the WideTEK 48, won the BERTL´s BEST Award and was awarded as the "Best Wide Format Innovative & Fastest Performance Color Scanner in 2008".

The scanners are outfitted with a touch screen, on which nearly all functions and parameters of the device are directly available to the user. Using walk-up scanning, the operator sends data to an FTP server, the windows network, a network printer, a USB stick or via eMail without using an external PC.

The professional scanning solutions from Image Access are enhanced by the Scan2Net® software options. The software Batch Scan Wizard enables the user to automate scanning large quantities of source documents. Using the software option Scan2USB the operator saves scanned images directly to a USB storage medium. The PDF generator adds the new PDF/A output to the list of supported formats. Using the Scan2Edit software the operator exports the scanned images directly into a preferred image enhancement or graphics software application. Scan2ICC is an online tool for creating an individual ICC profile for a scanner. Using the option Scan2VGA, a VGA monitor can be directly connected to the scanner. A previously scanned document can be modified and the resulting image quality improved without having to rescan. The Scan2Net® software options considerably reduce the operating steps and substantially increase the document throughput and the scanning efficiency.

More information about the organization Image Access, as well as detailed information and specifications of products and the Scan2Net® platform, is available to visitors who come to the Image Access booth 4.618 (Hall 4) at INTERGEO from 30 September to 2 October 2008. In addition, you can learn more around the clock in the internet, at www.imageaccess.de where information about products, the company and scanning technologies can be read online, downloaded or presented via a direct contact with Image Access.
