Stevenage, Herts. 27 April, 2009. – Digital mapping and geographic information systems (GIS) software developer Cadcorp has announced that after a thorough competitive tendering process, Warwickshire County Council has placed a contract for supply of Cadcorp GeognoSIS, Cadcorp SIS Map Modeller and associated consultancy services. Integrated with Oracle and various third party applications, the new software will provide the authority with a corporate intranet mapping capability.
Huw Davies, corporate GIS coordinator said, "Warwickshire County Council has chosen Cadcorp for this contract because of the close fit with our corporate ICT and GIS strategies, the excellent usability and functionality offered through GeognoSIS and because of the flexibility and knowledge demonstrated by the Cadcorp team."
