Vodafone Selects Telmap for SatNav Solution

London 29 August, 2007 – Vodafone UK today announced that it has selected Telmap, a world leader in mapping and navigation solutions, to power its Satellite Navigation (Sat Nav) solution on the new BlackBerry Curve 8310 smartphone.

The new Vodafone Sat Nav service enables customers to enjoy a rich mapping, navigation and travel experience. It provides the best route to a desired destination using voice instructions and high-quality moving maps, with turn by turn instructions for both in-car and pedestrian navigation. Vodafone Sat Nav includes live traffic updates and, user-friendly free-text local search capabilities and print-quality maps. Subscribers can also dial directly to any Point of Interest (POI) and can easily share locations with friends and colleagues via SMS.

Vodafone Sat Nav will be launched on the BlackBerry Curve 8310. Available from 03 September and exclusively through Vodafone until 31st October 2007, the BlackBerry Curve 8310 is a GPS embedded smartphone that comes pre-loaded with Sat Nav and includes 12 months free licence as part of the package.

The BlackBerry Curve 8310 with a full Sat Nav included can now be ordered online at www.vodafone.co.uk/8310 and will be available from the 3rd September exclusively on the Vodafone UK network until 31st October 2007.
