Visual Fusion at Rapattoni Corporation

Lansing, MI, July 14, 2009 – Visual Fusion, the geospatial mashup platform from IDV Solutions, receives high marks for performance and features from the Rapattoni Corporation, whose experience in building an application with the software is the subject of a new case study. Rapattoni, a leading provider of software to real estate Multiple Listing Services, was able to reduce costs and offer its clients new productivity-enhancing features, according to the case study published to the IDV Solutions website.

"We had some high expectations for our new mapping solution," explained Stan Marriott, GIS/Parcel Mapping manager for Rapattoni. "What we were looking for was for Visual Fusion to become the backbone of what was going to be a very complex Web-based application. We met or exceeded all our performance goals."

The application that Rapattoni created with Visual Fusion layers property listing data over online maps; it allows real estate professionals across the country to search for and display the locations of properties for sale that match specific criteria. It also incorporates county tax data, sales histories, and school district boundaries, offering new information layers to real estate professionals as they navigate the map.

Superior responsiveness and the ability to integrate large data sets won Rapattoni's praise, as did new features, like the option to plot a personalized route for showing properties. Additionally, this Visual Fusion application allows individual customers to benefit from a personalized experience. Rapattoni is able to configure custom text displays and other features for each Multiple Listing Service that it serves. The new application was developed, tested, and deployed to production within six months.
