Trimble and Critigen Extend Business Partnership

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug. 2, 2010 - Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) and Critigen today announced an extension of the business partner agreement originally established in 2004 between Trimble's Mapping & GIS Division and Critigen's former parent, CH2M HILL. Critigen will serve as system integrator and provide data management and visual business intelligence solutions to support Trimble's technology and products in the utilities, state and local government, and environmental management markets. Trimble and Critigen will work together by providing a broad range of product development, joint sales, data collection, data conversion, and implementation services.

"Trimble and Critigen are committed to working together to deliver enterprise geospatial solutions that will help organizations improve efficiency and productivity," said Peter Large, general manager of Trimble's Mapping & GIS Division. "Through this relationship, we will continue to deliver geospatial solutions that enable our customers to meet their business goals today and be positioned for future growth."

"Critigen, as a former division of CH2M HILL, and Trimble have delivered business value for clients for more than 20 years, and with the current explosion of geospatial opportunities and integrations we plan to dramatically increase our joint collaboration going forward," said Rand Knight, general manager and senior vice president of Spatial Information Management at Critigen. "Today marks the next phase in this evolution. The companies are committed to delivering solutions that blend Trimble's product line with Critigen's system integration and solution portfolio, and that span a large spectrum of offerings including field data collection, data migration, GIS/GPS implementation, cloud-enabled solutions, visual business intelligence, and geospatial consulting services."

The initial area of focus for the expanded relationship is the utilities industry. The two companies share a deep understanding of the utility market and will work together to help utility organizations achieve efficiencies. For example, they will work together to deliver Trimble Utilities Field Solutions (TUFS) offerings with Critigen acting as a primary implementation partner. The TUFS product portfolio spans a broad range of field centric solutions for electric, gas, water, and wastewater utilities including data collection, maintenance management, asset management, outage management, design, and fleet management. Critigen will also provide extensions to those offerings leveraging their advanced business intelligence tools and visualization dashboards which provide operations managers with intuitive insight into their organizations' efficiency.
