Topcon compatible DigiTerra® Explorer software

Topcon and DigiTerra® declare cooperation for future distribution of DigiTerra®’s software in combination with Topcon hardware.

Topcon Europe Positioning B.V. are pleased to announce that DigiTerra® Explorer version 6 now allows customers to take now full advantage of the benefits of Topcon’s GMS-2, GMS-2 Pro and GRS-1 handheld devices.

Stefan Naumann, GIS Sales Manager said: “The release of DigiTerra® Explorer 6 software comes in conjunction with the announcement of a cooperation between both companies; DigiTerra® as an innovative and reliable GIS supplier with specialist knowledge in agriculture and forestry sectors and Topcon as manufacture of precise positioning products and solutions for a variety of different markets and industries.

“This cooperation will once more give customers the benefit of choosing a reliable solution for Mobile Mapping applications.” he continuous.

Key features of the DigiTerra® software on Topcon handhelds includes:

- delivery on SD memory cards to ensure device-independent use
- rapid processing of large raster files thanks to DigiTerra®’s innovative graphical engine
- a simple localization by translatable text TXT file
- easily usable, adaptable and customisable data collection forms without programming
- three software editions to meet different customers’ needs (so there’s no need to pay for functions that are never used!)
