Web Edition 3.0 has been re-engineered from the ground-up to help .NET developers create more efficient, more powerful and more attractive Internet and Intranet GIS applications.

Map Suite Web Edition 3.0 offers a completely revamped API that’s built for faster and simpler coding, better coherence and more extensibility. Other major new features in Web Edition 3.0 include support for Web Map Services (WMS), background imagery from online mapping services like Google™ Maps and Yahoo® Maps, and a wide variety of new spatial data formats like Oracle Spatial, PostgreSQL PostGIS, Microsoft SQL 2008, or any OpenGIS® compliant custom data source.

Web application developers can start using Map Suite Web Edition 3.0 quickly and easily, thanks to over 80 bundled sample applications. The samples demonstrate how to implement all of Web Edition’s core features, advanced capabilities and new enhancements, and come complete with full source code in C#.
