Specific technology for trans-sectoral use, more efficiency, higher yields and a healthy environment.
The importance of agriculture and forestry increases – parallel to it their fields of responsibility and duty. Originally just responsible for the production of food and feed, the new farmer produces also biomass and bio-energy, creates premises for tourism and leisure activities, has to consider sustainability and environment criteria and should contribute to minimize the risk of natural hazards.
For some years it has been the target of PROGIS to develop software products helping farmers/foresters in their multitasking business. Sustainability, fact based decision finding, documentation and cooperation in vertical and horizontal directions are the key-words inspiring our doing. No-one is excluded – large farms medium and groups of small ones are considered likewise in our ideas for organizational structures. PROGIS advocates trans-sectoral and concerted cooperation in public-private-partnerships models. Our technology is state of the art – partly ahead of times – and ready to be implemented in every country worldwide.
PROGIS technology is based on “WinGIS”, our own easy to use GIS (Geographic Information System). The geographic contents are either BING maps (Microsoft) which are available to be integrated directly and automatically, or other geo-data as cadastre-, INVECOS-data or satellite images of local providers.
"AGROffice-DokuPlant" – the agro-software technology is for planning, documentation, traceability, calculation, nutrient balancing (energy- and CO2-balancing) and mapping and is linked to an expert data-system and a consecutive calendar. Forest inventory, planning and logistics are integrative parts, like the management of risks and environment. Modern ICT-technologies such as GPS, GPRS, UMTS etc. support the single systems.
On base of geography and farm management logistics, precision-farming and virtual farming, are applications for large firms, advisors or cooperatives of small holder enterprises. Involving front-office data as weather information, soil analysis, machine data etc., PROGIS provides a back-office solution which is the first requirement to do precision farming in all its complexity.
Come to our booth at Agritechnica (hall 16 G03), where these systems are the focus of our exhibition.
What will you see!
Example 1 shows the logistic procedure of sugar-beet harvesting and biomass subcontracting with automated order-submission to service providers and mobile devises on machines with direct feed-back together with parameters to the planning and documentation software.
Example 2 shows a square meter precise fertilizing based on maps and soil analysis with direct input signals to the accessory equipment. Again, the feed-back is recorded automated in the planning and documentation software.
Producers of accessory equipment, tractors and agro-chemistry are kindly invited to discuss with us the realization of such or similar precision farming projects.
See you there! Hall 16 G03 or at booth G04, the booth of Zalf-Future farm where PROGIS is cooperating in the EU-funded project “farm of tomorrow”
