SuperGeo Technologies, the leading global provider of complete GIS software and solutions, today announced that Suratthani Rajabhat University (S.R.U.), procured SuperGIS Desktop, the professional desktop GIS software, plus GIS Learning CD, to enhance the teaching content of GIS knowledge, manipulation, and applications for the Faculty of Science and Technology.

Establish in 1992, Suratthani Rajabhat University (S.R.U.), named by the King’s name and royal emblem, is a reputed university specializing in science. Having several sister schools in Asia, S.R.U. has a firm relationship and great influence on the higher educational network in Asia. For instance, National Taiwan Normal University, the top one institute for teachers’ education in Taiwan, has signed the contract and became the sister school of S.R.U.’s since 2006.

The procurement is recommended by Micron Network Technology, one of SuperGeo’s resellers in Thailand. Micron Network Technology promotes SuperGIS software, IT-related hardware, and navigation products in the local territory for a large customer base.

“Thailand is one of our most significant focusing markets in 2010,” said Sarah Liu, Senior Marketing Specialist at SuperGeo, “We will invest more in the market, hoping to strengthen our global network further.”
