TerraGo Technologies USDA Prime Vendor Contract

ATLANTA, GA – July 15, 2008 – TerraGo® Technologies, the visionary provider of tools, technology and know-how for building collaborative geospatial applications (GeoApps), announced today that it has been named to the Prime Vendor Contract for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Foreign Agriculture Service, Office of Global Analysis (OGA).

Under the contract, managed by ASRC Management Services, TerraGo will be providing the USDA’s crop analysts with its advanced tools and technology to convert complex geospatial information into interactive, user-friendly geo-enabled PDFs. TerraGo’s geospatial solutions will enable analysts in the field to build and deliver GeoApps in collaboration with other professionals to ensure that all personnel have the most up-to-date, accurate geospatial information available to them.

The Office of Global Analysis of the USDA FAS is responsible for global crop condition assessments and estimates of area, yield and production for grains, oilseeds and cotton. The primary mission of OGA is to target, collect, analyze and disseminate timely, objective, useful and cost-effective global crop condition and agricultural market intelligence information. One of OGA’s key missions is to provide unbiased commodity estimates and forecasts to create a marketing edge for U.S. producers in world markets.
