Aliso Viejo, Calif., Aug 5, 2010 – Telogis, Inc., the platform for location intelligence, has been named the winner of the Innovative Product – Cloud Computing category for the TechAmerica High-Tech Innovation Awards. Now in its 17th year, this premier business event celebrates excellence and achievement in the region’s technology industry, and honors local companies, individuals and products that drive innovation in Orange County. This year’s honorees were announced at the annual dinner in June at the Hyatt Hotel in Irvine, Calif.
TechAmerica honored Telogis for its Telogis Fleet platform, a Web-based solution that allows companies to track fleets of vehicles. It uses GPS and wireless technology to monitor the type and location of vehicles, as well as the direction and status. The platform enables organizations to reduce labor and fuel costs by minimizing idle time and total mileage while completing the same quantity of work. It is highly scalable and can track thousands of vehicles nationwide. Telogis Fleet is SaaS-based and can be accessed anywhere a Web connection is available.
“To receive an accolade from TechAmerica, one of the most respected organizations in our industry, is a real honor for our company,” said Dave Cozzens, CEO of Telogis. “Telogis Fleet is the most reliable, scalable and comprehensive fleet management solution in the market. Telogis continues to ensure the platform delivers return on investment and operational efficiency for our customers. This award is a testament to our hard work and continued product innovation that has resulted in Telogis Fleet being adopted by many of the world’s leading companies.”
“We congratulate all of the winners and finalists for their innovation over the last year, and look forward to seeing the trend continue,” said Bob Brunson, associate director, TechAmerica Orange County. “Telogis is an important contributor to Orange County and the innovations created here for the country and the world.”
