SuperGeo Technologies will release SuperGIS Image Server at the end of April - a set of image server software for managing, processing and distributing large amounts of image data, equipped with the capability of On-the-fly Image Processing, enabling users to access and write large volumes of data more effectively and process the image data more quickly. The reduction of data volume and transmission performance are also improved by the application of new technologies of image compression and Streaming in SuperGIS Image Server. The client side cooperates with client side products such as SuperGIS Desktop, HTML Viewer and SuperGIS 3D Globe, the transmission performance can be enhanced. SuperGIS Image Server runs an on-the-fly image process on the server side, which receives the image processing request and sends the processed results back to the client side to display the image data. SuperGIS Image Server can effectively reduce the burden of the client side system, save the processing time and cost, improve the service efficiency, and provide users with much easier manipulation steps, easier maintenance methods, quicker image publishing and optimized visualization. Through SuperGIS Image Server, users are able to utilize the image data much more frequently so that the image data will make the best use as possible.
