SuperGeo to launch ‘GIS Learning CD’ in September

SuperGeo Technologies Inc., a leading global provider of complete GIS solutions, announced today that ‘GIS Learning CD’, a set of learning CD about GIS, will be launched in this September.

Considering the lack of an easy and lively way to learn or teach GIS, ‘GIS Learning CD’ is designed to explain GIS concepts in detail with flash. ‘GIS Learning CD’ contains 7 chapters, offering:

1. GIS Concepts
2. Geographic Data
3. Data Input
4. Data Display
5. Data Query
6. Data Processing and Analysis
7. Data Output

‘GIS Learning CD’ is a unique tool which helps GIS beginners to learn the domain knowledge easily’, said Willy Wang, the Chief of GIS Training and Support Center in SuperGeo. ‘The CD covers abundant GIS knowledge and uses flash to demonstrate spatial concepts. This makes it easy and interesting for people to understand GIS better. Teachers can also utilize the templates in the CD to assist in teaching, so the effort and time to collect useful and accurate information are economized.’ Wang added.

This product also employs rich examples and clear explanations to teach GIS with dynamic pictures, so it is not only suitable for teachers and students in education institutes, but also for GIS-related companies, such as electrical map companies and GIS projects or service companies.

‘GIS Learning CD’ will be launched soon in the beginning of September this year (2009). In the near future, SuperGeo will release more supportive software and materials to assist all the related organizations and personnel in the field of GIS.
