SuperGeo Technologies Release SuperGIS Desktop 3

SuperGeo Technologies, the leading global provider of complete GIS software and solutions, today announced that the latest generation of its desktop geographic information system (GIS), SuperGIS Desktop 3, is officially released to global users.

Compared with SuperGIS Desktop 2.x, SuperGIS Desktop 3 offers more powerful processing capabilities and also fully supports Windows 7. Therefore, users can have a more effective and professional GIS platform for editing, mapping, analyzing, and geoprocessing; this can improve the working efficiency by around 20%. Thus, the usability and the value of spatial data will be enhanced greatly.

As to the functionality, SuperGIS Desktop 3 has more abundant GIS tools so that users are able to deal with more complicated data no matter in editing data, displaying spatial data, or generating professional maps. Meanwhile, the generated results will be able to satisfy more diverse and higher requests.

SuperGIS Desktop 3 also improves the interoperability of spatial database and the support of OGC standards. SuperGIS Desktop 3 supports several commonly used geodatabases, like Personal Geodatabase, SQL Server, and Oracle Spatial. Therefore, the performance of sharing, editing and reading spatial data is improved which also allows multiple users to read the files online at the same time, to improve the availability of the data.

In addition, SuperGIS Desktop 3 enhances the support of OGC standards and improves the quality and efficiency of reading the web map services, providing users with a better environment to display web maps.
