ScanMagic ver 2.0 from ScanEx

July 13, 2007 - New ScanMagic® v.2.0 –Russian software in support of world leading geo-services ScanEx R&D Center starts the supply of new version 2.0 of ScanMagic® software designed for Earth remote sensing data processing. The updated version supports popular cartographic services of Google, Microsoft and Yahoo!

Due to addition into the new ScanMagic® version of Google Maps, MS Virtual Earth and Yahoo! Maps global geo-services, the user can work now with global multi-terabyte archives of space images in real-time. Simple handling of cartographic services data using ScanMagic® software interface enables to quickly and easily switch between different sources, do space images positioning and scaling, take GCP geographic coordinates and many more.

This ScanMagic® software version allows the users to resolve the notorious problem of the lack or absence of vector maps, to geolocate the new image with acceptable accuracy and to detect current coverage changes by comparison using functional access to geo-portals.
In addition, the new ScanMagic® version has a Vector Editor, new image segmentation functions, METOP (Europe) and FengYun (China) meteo-programs data processing features and other useful software tools.

ScanMagic® is a stand-alone Windows-based easy-to-use and powerful application, designed based on cutting-edge technology to view, analyze and process remote sensing (RS) data. In most cases ScanMagic® allows the user to create remote sensing end-products cost-effectively without involving additional software tools.
