SPADAC makes Inc. Magazine 27th Annual 500 List

McLean, Va., August 26, 2008 – Inc. magazine today ranked SPADAC No. 14 of the top 100 fastest-growing software companies in the nation and No. 308 of the fastest growing private companies overall on its 27th annual Inc. 500 list. The list also ranked SPADAC as No. 26 on the top 100 fastest-growing businesses in the greater Washington area.

“It is wonderful to be included on the list again—and it shows that SPADAC is successfully evolving and adapting to the changing marketplace to maintain its status as a top provider of geospatial solutions,” said SPADAC CEO & Chairman Mark Dumas. “I believe it is SPADAC’s drive for innovation and ability to create geo-enhanced analysis and imagery products that can be applied to a variety of situations and markets that have allowed the company to continue its growth trend.”

SPADAC provides spatial intelligence and predictive analytic solutions for a variety of government and commercial markets including defense and intelligence, homeland security, oil and gas, transportation, and logistics and insurance. The company relies on research and development experts to ensure that customers receive solutions that meet the distinct characteristics of their mission-specific needs. SPADAC has also proven itself as an industry thought leader by delivering unprecedented, proven innovative products, such as Signature Analyst® and EarthWhere®.

The 2008 Inc. 500, as revealed in the September issue of Inc. magazine (on newsstands August 26 – September 30), reported aggregate revenue of $13.7 billion and median three-year growth of 1,046 percent. Most important, the 2008 Inc. 500 companies were engines of job growth, having created more than 51,414 jobs since those companies were founded.

“If you want to find out which companies are going to change the world, look at the Inc. 500,” said Inc. Editor Jane Berentson. “These are the most innovative, dynamic, fast-growing companies in the nation – the ones coming up with solutions to some of our knottiest problems, creating systems that let us conduct business faster and easier, and manufacturing products we soon discover we can’t live without. The Inc. 500 list is Inc. magazine’s tribute to American business ingenuity and ambition.”

Headquartered in McLean, Va., SPADAC was founded by Dumas in 2002. The company is one of only 39 companies in the greater Washington metro area that made the Inc. 500 list.
