SOKKIA BV announces new business partner

ALMERE, The Netherlands, October 2008 - SOKKIA BV, European Head Office, announces new business partner GEODATA for tunnelling and underground surveying solutions.

In order to meet the tough and specific requirements of the underground surveyors and tunnellers, it was a logical step for SOKKIA BV and GEODATA to join forces by offering a joint tailor-made and dedicated solution to this demanding market segment.

The result is a flexible, modular and integrated total surveying solution that will guide construction companies through any tunnelling or underground project such as optical 3-D monitoring, setting out and/or profile management, no matter which kind of tunnelling method is used.

SOKKIA total stations with EUPALINOS software from Austria based company GEODATA, offer high performance solutions to all geodetic tasks in the field of tunnelling, underground surveying, tunnel surveying, monitoring, tunnelling heading control and geotechnics. It includes complete administration, computation and visualization and covers all relevant projects like road- and railway tunnels, hydro power, utility and investigation galleries, shafts, caverns and subsurface mines independent from construction method and special project conditions.
