SF-3050 Software Upgradeable GNSS Receiver

SF-3050 Software Upgradeable GNSS Receiver

Torrance, CA – July 31, 2009—NavCom Technology, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Deere & Company (NYSE:DE), announced the release of the SF-3050 multi-frequency GNSS receiver with its new Sapphire GNSS OEM board. Offering integrated StarFire™/RTK GNSS capabilities, the SF-3050 and Sapphire feature 66-channel tracking, including multi-constellation support for GPS, GLONASS and Galileo. They also provide industry leading performance in GNSS receiver sensitivity and signal tracking as well as patented multi-path mitigation, interference rejection and anti-jamming capabilities, while supporting a range of high-speed I/O, including Ethernet, Bluetooth and USB capability.

Powered by the new Sapphire GNSS OEM board, the SF-3050 is a fully upgradeable GNSS receiver, allowing the receiver to upgrade from single frequency to multi-frequency through software optioning alone. The software enabled features are sold in convenient software bundles, but can also be purchased individually, to suit changing application needs. Integrated StarFire is now simply activated via an Over the Air licensing system that sends a StarFire License via satellite directly to the StarFire capable receiver from NavCom’s StarFire operations center. StarFire, NavCom’s Global Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS), provides real-time global decimeter accuracy without a base station.

“With the release of our new GNSS products, the SF-3050 and Sapphire, NavCom continues to innovate to meet our customers’ ever-changing needs,” said Steve Wilson, NavCom’s GNSS Products Business Manager. “The ability to upgrade our GNSS products with software options will save our customers costly hardware changes, while the Over the Air StarFire Licensing System allows them to quickly renew their StarFire License in the field.“

The SF-3050 and Sapphire are available for immediate delivery through NavCom’s dealer network. For additional product information, visit NavCom’s website at www.NavComTech.com or contact NavCom’s Sales team at +1 (310) 381-2000 or sales@NavComTech.com.
