Rutherford County, Tennessee, recently awarded a 5-year geospatial services contract to Fugro EarthData, Inc. Under this open-ended contract, Fugro EarthData will provide updated orthoimagery, planimetric, and topographic mapping services to the county. Additional services may include oblique imagery, land use/land cover mapping, and emergency response mapping.
“Fugro EarthData’s exceptional performance on past projects, their commitment to customer service, and their broad range of services made them the ideal partner to help us meet our long-term mapping needs,” explained Barbara Seivers, Rutherford County’s GIS Manager.
The new contract continues a long and successful relationship between Fugro EarthData
and Rutherford County, which began in 2004 during the county’s first-ever countywide digital mapping project. Most recently, Fugro EarthData performed rapid response mapping services to aid in recovery and assessment efforts following the 2009 Good Friday tornado that swept through the county.
