NORTH SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – October 15, 2009 – Rolta Asia Pacific is pleased to announce that Rolta’s GeoSpatial Fusion™ solution powered by Rolta OnPoint™ will be integrated with intelligent oblique aerial imagery provided by AAMHatch to provide oblique imagery. This new capability is enabled through spatial and imagery processing power of OnPoint and Rolta’s unique integration between OnPoint and Pictometry®. The partnership with AAMHatch and the Rolta’s Geospatial Fusion engine powered by OnPoint will be used to provide new Pictometry imagery from AAMHatch for all major Australasian cities, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Wellington and Auckland.
Rolta’s experience with implementations of its Web-GIS solutions around the world has proved that putting GIS information at the fingertips of staff, customers and constituents has significant benefits in terms of cost savings, improved public and customer relations, enhanced productivity and timely, more effective decision making. The immediate benefit of OnPoint’s Pictometry Extension will be a significant reduction in time that users currently spend searching for information.
OnPoint for Pictometry
The OnPoint Pictometry extension allows users to apply OnPoint functions such as Identify, Advanced Search, Multilevel Join, 3 levels of Security, Redlining, Print and more to orthographic or oblique images. Users can apply the identify tool on any object within the Pictometry image and retrieve its attributes from GIS layers as well as from joined database tables. They can also use standard Pictometry measure tools in OnPoint to measure both vertical and horizontal distances and areas. For more information on available coverage maps visit www.aamhatch.com. “We are very pleased that Rolta is providing the Geospatial Fusion technology to enable the use of oblique imagery throughout Asia Pacific” said Ben Eazzetta, President of Rolta’s international operations. “Rolta’s OnPoint has always aimed to be at the pinnacle of Geospatial solutions around the world. Combined with the intelligent oblique imagery provided by AAMHatch, we are delivering the very best in Geospatial Fusion to the Asia Pacific Region.”
