Remote Sensing Training Course Provided by ScanEx

ScanEx RDC announces a new offer to those wishing to apply Earth remote sensing technologies for solving practical tasks in sphere of environmental monitoring, agriculture and forest management, cadastre and cartographic activities, fire and flood monitoring, etc.

The experience accumulated by the Center specialists in working with space data along with the need in latest knowledge of methods and techniques for using Earth remote sensing data justifies the requirement for introducing the “Individual Course” training program for representatives of various disciplines.

Based on the preliminary discussion with a company manager the following could be defined for the “Individual Course”:

1. timing and agenda;
2. variety of issues for discussion with account for individual preferences;
3. information to be used in the course;
4. level of complexity and duration based on experience of an attendee.

In the framework of the new training program development in 2008 three groups of specialists completed the training course adjusted for finding solutions in sphere of subsurface management, exploration of natural resources, hydrological activities and forest management. The attendees showed great interest in specialized publications on GIS and remote sensing issues, which were presented for reinforcing the acquired knowledge and widening horizons with respect to discussed issues.

In 2008 the ScanEx RDC training course was completed by 117 specialists of different disciplines:

* forest management;
* agriculture;
* monitoring of geological environment;
* oil and gas industry;
* teaching in schools and higher educational institutions;
* town planning;
* environmental monitoring and protection;
* geological exploration;
* hydrology, etc

Starting 2009 the training course of ScanEx RDC is held in new comfortable classrooms fitted with upgraded equipment, which makes the training nice and easy and supports the most complex algorithms implemented in the ScanEx RDC software. The trainers staff was considerably expanded to allow training of several groups of attendees simultaneously.
