kubit PhoToPlan Version 5 is now available.
In many cases, a high quality image or rectified photo is the most efficient method for documenting data onsite. kubit PhoToPlan supports true to scale image rectification for digital photos and scanned maps/plans directly inside AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT and all verticals such as Architecture, Map 3D and Civil 3D. A few reference measures from the photographed object are sufficient to rectify the photos in a way that they can be used in CAD as a basis for taking accurate dimensions or for accurately digitizing atop the photo.
Common digital cameras and wide-angle lenses can be used and the image rectification process does not require a special knowledge of photogrammetry.
PhoToPlan combines the fast capture of geometrical data with the photographical documentation inside a CAD plan. PhoToPlan 5 supports AutoCAD 2010, AutoCAD 2010 LT and Vista in 32bit and 64bit versions. PhoToPlan 5 is available in English, German and French.
Prospective PhoToPlan customers may try the software free of charge for 4 weeks. More information on PhoToPlan and other software for the survey of buildings can be found on the kubit homepage at the link below.
