RapidEye and MDA Geospatial Services Agreement

Brandenburg / Havel, Germany, July 22, 2010 - RapidEye, the only geospatial
solutions provider to own and operate a constellation of five identical Earth
Observation satellites, announced today that MDA Geospatial Services Inc. (MDA GSI), a subsidiary of MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MDA) has signed a contractual agreement with RapidEye to be one of its data
distributors in Canada.

John Ahlrichs, Vice President of RapidEye, commented "We are glad to have MDA GSI on board as our distributor for Canada. MDA led the development and delivery of our satellite system as our prime contractor. It's only natural that their Geospatial division will be growing the market for RapidEye data in Canada. Through this partnership we will benefit from MDA GSI's expertise, their excellent data sales infrastructure, and their long-standing, trusted relationships in the Canadian market."

Paulo Bezerra, the manager responsible for this business area, said "We look forward to collaborating with RapidEye and to their team of experts. We trust in this partnership and expect great interest in RapidEye's high quality satellite imagery in the Canadian market. We are also looking forward to partnering on joint solutions projects developed from optical and radar imagery."

Currently, RapidEye is working on completing its worldwide network of distributors in order to facilitate easy access to RapidEye products in their customers' own language and region. For a full list of RapidEye's distributors, please visit the link below.
