RapidEye Partners With Lotus in Taiwan

Brandenburg / Havel, Germany, October 6, 2009 - RapidEye, the only geospatial solutions provider to own and operate a constellation of Earth Observationsatellites, announced today a new strategic partnership agreement with Taipei City, Taiwan based Lotus (H&R). The partnership establishing Lotus as the only distributorfor RapidEye products in Taiwan was signed earlier this week.

“We are pleased to welcome Lotus on-board as our partner in Taiwan,” said John Ahlrichs, Vice President of RapidEye. “The Lotus team has a proven ability to identify and serve the needs of diverse customer segments and we look forward to working together to develop and grow the market for wide area imaging programs in this area.”

Ms. Rubia Chen, Vice President of Lotus, said, “We are very excited about being able
to provide our customers in Taiwan RapidEye's image products. The additional Red
Edge spectral band offered by their sensors provides a unique benefit forAgricultural and Forest applications. The wide coverage and daily revisit of theconstellation also provides timely information for our customers in the mapping, disaster monitoring and control fields.”
