RapidEye Extends U.S. Distributor Network

Brandenburg / Havel, Germany, October 20, 2009 - RapidEye, the only geospatial solutions provider to own and operate a constellation of five identical Earth Observation satellites, announced today they have entered into a new strategic partnership agreement with Spatial Energy to be one of their U.S. distributors providing RapidEye with access to the energy business.

Michael Prechtel, Head of Sales and Marketing for RapidEye, commented "We are glad to have signed a data distribution agreement with Spatial Energy. Over the past 4 years they have aggressively expanded data sales in the energy market. RapidEye looks forward to supporting Spatial Energy in growing opportunities in this sector and creating new opportunities for wide area, repetitive imaging that meets the needs of customers in this industry."

Chris Carlston, Vice President of Sales at Spatial Energy said, "We're excited to announce that we can now offer RapidEye satellite imagery to our global Oil and Gas customers. By leveraging RapidEye's constellation of 5-meter resolution satellites, Spatial Energy can provide customers with the ability to access very large areas of interest within short time frames at high resolution."
